 Many features have been promised by Samsung for previous Galaxy phones.

Samsung has confirmed that some Galaxy S22 photography functions will be available on previous phones, as expected. Improvements to night photography, picture quality with photographs from third-party apps such as Snapchat and Instagram, and more are among them.

A Samsung moderator highlighted all of the photographic capabilities that will trickle down to previous Galaxy phones on the company's Korean community forums. We don't have the dates for any of these, but we do know that they'll happen.

Telephoto portraits at night

The Galaxy S22's telescopic lens allows for nighttime portraits, which may be a niche feature. Samsung will make this available on older devices with telephoto lenses, which includes many Galaxy S and Z phones from now until 2020.

You'll enjoy this upgrade coming to older Galaxy phones if you want to use all of your phone's camera features in third-party apps like Snapchat and Instagram. You'll have access to all of the features of the Samsung Camera app, including HDR and picture stabilisation.

Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy S21 Plus, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3 are all supported phones.

More apps include video call effects.

Samsung added video call effects to various apps when the Galaxy S22 was released. This will now be available on older phones running Google Duo, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Zoom, Webex Meetings, Knox Meeting, BlueJeans, and KaKao Talk.

These apps will also support auto-framing, but with fewer phones.
