On its first weekend, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness grossed an estimated $450 million (about Rs. 3,482 crore) worldwide. After Avengers: Endgame, Avengers: Infinity War, and the aforementioned No Way Home, this is the second biggest global debut for a Hollywood film during the continuing COVID-19 epidemic, and the fourth biggest of all time for a Marvel Cinematic Universe chapter. The $12.7 million (about Rs. 98 crore) opening weekend in India for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is also the fourth highest for Hollywood, with the top three places taken by the same films.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness made an estimated $185 million (about Rs. 1,431 crore) in theatres in the United States and Canada, with the remainder $265 million (roughly Rs. 2,051 crore) coming from 49 other nations.South Korea is the largest market outside of the two North American markets, with $30 million (roughly Rs. 232 crore), followed by the UK at $24.7 million (roughly Rs. 191 crore), Mexico at $21.5 million (roughly Rs. 166 crore), Brazil at $16.3 million (roughly Rs. 126 crore), India at $12.7 million (roughly Rs. 126 crore), Australia at $12.6 million (roughly Rs. 97 crore), Germany at $12 million (roughly Rs. 92 crore), France (about Rs. 69 crore).

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness moved to fifth place in Malaysia and sixth place in South Korea, in addition to having the fourth best opening for a Hollywood film in India (assuming you include previews). The latest MCU film also set a new IMAX record for the month of May, with $33 million (about Rs. 255 crore) of the $450 million total coming from the big screen. Marvel Studios' $33 million global debut is the seventh greatest in IMAX history.
